Community Conversations: AR Workshop

AAR WORKSHOP IN FERNDALE!

Welcome to Community Conversations: AR Workshop! We paid a visit to Katie Parker, owner of AR Workshop, to hear about what the workshop has to offer the community and how we can help support her!

Jim Shaffer and Associates is a proud member of the Woodward Corridor Community and we love to put the spotlight on our neighborhood small businesses. Meet Katie Parker of AR Workshop in Ferndale!

Katie moved to Ferndale from England 13 years ago, and says of Ferndale, β€œI just love this town and the community and everything about it.” She certainly helps make the community shine with her passion project, AR Workshop on 9 Mile Rd. The AR Workshop vision is to create an inspiring and charming boutique DIY workshop space that not only offers classes but sells unique and beautiful retail items from local artists.

AR Workshop began as an in-person studio where customers of all ages and skill levels could come to nurture their DIY skills through personalized plank sign designs. The perfect spot for community to gather, AR Workshop has become a hot spot for date night, work parties, and ladies nights where personalized art in countless mediums is created. Due to COVID however, AR Workshop has had to pivot from a primarily in-person business to offering mainly virtual design parties and DIY-to-Go kits. Join in on the distanced DIY, especially exciting for the cold weather months ahead when home is harder to leave than ever.

Thanks Katie!
