Detroit Bubble Tea

Jim Shaffer and Associates is a proud member of the Woodward Corridor Community and we love to put the spotlight on our neighborhood community partners. Meet Arun Prasad, owner of Detroit Bubble Tea!

What is bubble tea? Great questions. Arun says it's like a slushy or iced tea that can be made in tons of formats and on the bottom are what's called Boba, or tapioca pearls. All of the tea's they use are freshly brewed and organic. They offer sugar free and vegan options as well!

DBT also serves snacks and treats, like macarons, cookies from D'vine Cookies, and Great Lakes Potato Chips.

6 years ago when the Ferndale Radio Shack went out of business, Arun's wife, Alycia, decided that she wanted to try something new in her career, and Detroit Bubble Tea was born! The Prasad's had lived in Ferndale for years and they knew that the city would love and support their concept, and they were right! Jim always says "Ferndale is a small town with a great big heart".
