Jim Shaffer and Associates is a proud member of the Woodward Corridor Community and we love to put the spotlight on our neighborhood community partners. Meet Jennifer Lepard, President of the Alzheimer’s Association of Michigan Chapter!

Jennifer’s commitment and passion for ending Alzheimer’s is clear as she discusses the importance of their annual Walk to End Alzheimer’s™, the primary fundraising event for the Alzheimer’s Association. Due to COVID, the Alzheimer’s Association moved to make the Walk even more accessible, allowing any Michigander to join any walk around the state at any time, “on every sidewalk, track and trail.”

While Jennifer and her team were able to quickly pivot and bring many of their services online for virtual access at the start of the pandemic, they worry that the community may not realize Alzheimer’s Association is open, available, and active. Alzheimer’s and Dementia patients and caregivers need support and attention now more than ever, and Jennifer reminds these groups that the Alzheimer’s Association helpline services are free and available 24/7.
