It's almost the spookiest time of year again: Halloween! Metro Detroit Halloween Events 2020 events will absolutely look a little different this year due to Covid19. Any other year this list would have been been much longer with many other cities participating by providing their communities with Halloween events. What we're left with is a shorter list of events that are built around safety and fun.

Armada Halloween Events 2020

September 19-October 31, Blakes Orchard & Cider Mill
Spookyland, Zombie Paintball, Hayrides: Spookyland offer Straw Mountain, Corn Stalk Maze, Petting Farm, Funhouse, Terror Tunnel. 3D Maze, Halloween Movies and Animated attractions. Haunted Hayrides have live actors in over 20 scenes and stops halfway thru for cider & donuts. Zombie Paintball is a 20 minute minute drive in an open air truck where you shoot LIVE zombies!

Berkley Halloween Events 2020

Beverly Hills Halloween Events 2020

Bloomfield Hills Halloween Events 2020

Bowers School Farm Festival: Wagon rides, animals, food, trucks, cider, pumpkin picking, strawland, historical experiences, live entertainment. $10 per person, 2 and under free. Pumpkin. prices $3-$12. Parking is free!

Detroit Halloween Events 2020

Thursday, Friday, Saturday, October 8-10, Beacon Park Detroit
Rocky Horror Picture Show with DATC Shadow Cast: The Detroit Actor's Theatre Company, the DTE Beacon Park Foundation, and the Downtown Detroit Partnership will present this Halloween cult classic October 8 -10 at 8:00pm at Beacon Park. In order to safely accommodate visitors online registration is required and attendance is limited. You may arrive up to one hour in advance to check in. The show will take place under the open air tent. Distanced seating will be provided and covered seating, under the tent, is limited. For those unfamiliar with this type of show, a shadow cast is a troupe of actors who act/mime/dance in front of a large screen that is showing the film. In essence, a shadow cast brings the movie to life!

Farmington Halloween Events 2020

Farmington Hills Halloween Events 2020

October 2, 9, 16, 23 (Fridays), Heritage Park
Hayride Central: Enjoy family hayrides through the trails of Heritage Park! Rides leaves every 1/2 hour from 5:30-7:30pm: LAST RIDE LEAVES AT 7pm. After the ride, roast marshmallows and sip cider around a cozy campfire. Don't forget to explore the Nature Center, open until 7pm on Hayride nights. Please register in advance, hayride fill quickly. Large groups can reserve weekday or weekend rides by calling (248) 477-1135. All ages welcome (under 2, free).

Boo Bash: Come on out to Heritage Park for some Halloween fun! Enjoy s'mores, hayrides, crafts, an animal show, and a "candy free" trick or treat route. Pizza will be provided. Don't forget to wear your costume! Registration required for both adult and child. Register early, this event fills up fast!Pizza dinner will be at 4:00 pm. All children must be accompanied by a paying adult.

Ferndale Halloween Events 2020

Hallowindow Decorating Contest: Ferndale is about to get a whole lot more spooktacular! Vote for your favorite Hallowindow between Oct 19 - Nov 1!! Downtown Ferndale presents the Hallowindow Decorating Contest, a Halloween-themed window decorating contest in Ferndale where you get to vote for the winners! Your favorite businesses will be decorating their windows to transform Ferndale into a Halloween wonderland this season and we need you to vote for your favorite! How can you participate? Pontiac Halloween Events 2020

Oak Hill Cemetary Walk: Join us for a fun and fascinating journey through Pontiac’s past! This annual event’s proceeds benefits the preservation of this historic cemetery with many structural challenges. This is an outdoor walking tour, with small groups running every ten minutes, and masks are required for everyone’s safety.

Rochester Halloween Events 2020

October 10-11, Van Hoosen farms
Stone Wall Pumpkin Festival: Let your light still shine this Halloween at our socially distanced edition of Stone Wall Pumpkin Festival. Guests are invited to carve a pumpkin and place it on the stone walls surrounding the Museum property. Return at night to see all the pumpkins lit up, along with an outdoor exhibit of scarecrows made by local organizations! Thank you to our presenting sponsor Genisys Credit Union. Your registration includes 2 pumpkins and the use of carving tools, patterns, and a private/sanitized table for up to 6 people. Additional pumpkins can be purchased while supplies last for $5/pumpkin. To maintain a safe experience for all, there will be no additional crafts or games offered this year. Masks are required at all times while on museum grounds unless seated at carving table. Evening lighting of the pumpkins runs from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. and is Drive-thru ONLY. Royal Oak Halloween Events 2020

October 11-13, October 18-20, October 25-27, 3:00-7:30, Detroit Zoo
Zoo Boo: Join us as we open all 125 acres of the Detroit Zoo for Zoo Boo! This annual β€œmerry-not-scary” family event is now bigger and better than ever with more animals and habitats to see, more rides and attractions to enjoy and earlier hours! Family-friendly crowd favorites from past Zoo Boo events will return, including dazzling and daring aerialists, mesmerizing mimes, superhero reenactments, a joking juggler and height-defying stilt-walkers. Take a trip through the never-ending corn maze, check out the pumpkin smasher and make friends with haunted creatures in the Holden Reptile Conservation Center while enjoying the fabulous pumpkin displays. A festively decorated treat trail, photo opportunities and educational activities will be located throughout the Zoo, ensuring your entire experience is filled with merry memories for adults and kids alike. Trick or Treat Among the Trees: Children ages 3-9 are invited to attend a β€œspook-free” halloween event among the trees at the Stage Nature Center. Halloween doesn’t have to be ghastly and frightening; it can be a fun and friendly outdoor celebration! Put on your costume and come out to hike the self-guided woodland pumpkin trail. Children will learn some secrets of the forest, receive treats, meet costumed characters and much more. Dress for the weather! For children with an adult. The free adult partner must accompany children throughout the program. New this year, to maintain social distancing, families will hike the trail on their own and not with a guided group. Please attend at your assigned start time. Fee: $13.50/child; TNS Member Fee: $10.50/child

Family Fall Fest: Join us for Fall Festivities! We are marking off the Aquatic Center parking lot to provide a day of fun for the family. Waterford Halloween Events 2020

Saturday, October 17, 12:00-5:00, Hess-Hathaway Park
Funtober: Grab your family and come out to Hess-Hathaway Park for a local color tour on a hayride.  Visit the farm and stroll with one of our farmers on an official animal tour.  The campfire will be warm and ready for roasting marshmallows and making s'mores.  Pumpkins ($2-$4 each), concessions will be available for purchase.  Children must be accompanied by an adult.  Enjoy this YouTube video of the event. $10 per person, 2 years & under are free

West Bloomfield Halloween Events 2020

Sunday, October 25, Recreation Activities Center (4640 Walnut Lake Rd, West Bloomfield Township) 1:00-4:00
Park-to-Treat-to-Go: This year there will be trick or treating by parking the car and having the treats come to you! Show off your costume by standing outside of your car and wait for the parade to come to you. The parade will consist of costume characters and local businesses/nonprofits handing out candy to all of the trick or treaters. Registration instructions: Cost is per child; adults are free. One car per family. Choose from one of four time slots. One adult needs to register for the event and then indicate how many children you are bringing when prompted. You will only be charged for children attending but all must be counted in order to receive a giveaway. This event will sell out. No on-site registration will be available.

Pumpkin Science: It’s the season for pumpkins so let’s explore them! Discover pumpkin seeds and how they grow. You will make pumpkin slime and together we will make a pumpkin volcano! Each participant will take home their own uniquely decorated pumpkin. Please come prepared and dressed to spend the whole program outside. Face coverings will be required to go into the building to use the bathrooms or for activities if social distancing outside cannot be maintained. Res $8.00 / Non-Res $13.00

October 3 - October 31, Treerunner Adventure Park
HallowGlow Nights: Since 2014, TreeRunner has entertained, charmed, and created lasting memories for our Michigan communities during the Halloween season. This year, TreeRunner Parks is proud to announce HallowGlow, a Halloween event and glow night loaded with new features that may make it the best all-around autumn and Halloween event of the year for family fun, all while being social distancing equipped! Participants will take advantage of our famous glow nights, riddled with Halloween flair.  Themed exhibit sets are littered throughout the park for entertainment between trails. The 3-hour experience concludes with each guest receiving a pre-bagged trick or treat candy bag. Tickets are $49, ages 7+.
